Elevation, Topography, Vegetation

 

The ranch ranges from lower flats at an elevation of approximately 6,900 feet that have history of dryland farming to dramatic uplifts that created sharp ridges rising to an elevation of approximately 7,400 feet. Vegetation on the ranch caries from juniper and pinyon with a few ponderosa on the higher hills and ridges to sagebrush on the flats interspersed with grama, brome, and wheat grasses and well as a variety of forbs.

Ag Uses

Arroyo Blanco Ranch has historically been used as a cattle ranch and dryland farm running about 70 pairs. Remenants of its farming past are still visible along the southern boundary where one can find a variety of farming relics. There is an old set of wooden corrals located on the northern parcel that could be fixed up and used. The ranch is water by several stock dirt tanks that hold water year-round and one well is located on the northern parcel but was used for household water for a doublewide that no longer is on property. A buyer could add an additional 534 acres located across highway 112 from the southern parcel which has a barn and an older set of corrals and borders BLM.  

 

Hunting

Located in unit 5A the hunting is excellent on the ranch and receives numerous landowner tags.
