The Sunsets and solitude offered by the Sanctuary Ranch are some of the best in northern New Mexico. The ranch is a virtual blank slate for the new owner to mold the perfect hunting retreat or ranch get-away. Bordering BLM and national forest the ranch offers excellent hunting and unlimited recreation opportunities.

Sanctuary Ranch is located in northwest New Mexico just a few miles south of Llaves. Cuba, New Mexico is just 30 minutes and offers the closest grocery store. Albuquerque is 2 hours and offers air service from all major airlines.

Access
The ranch is accessed by county road and also fronts State Highway 112.
Elevation, Topography, Vegetation
Sanctuary ranch sits at an elevation of about 7,000 feet and has a rolling juniper, pinyon, and sagebrush covered hills interspersed with open valleys. To the west rises a steep bluff making a natural boundary on the BLM.
Improvements
The ranch has some old corrals and an old barn that with a little work can be functional. It is fully fenced with fair to good barbed wire fences.
Hunting
Sanctuary Ranch sits right along the line between GMU 5a and 5b sitting entirely in unit 5a. The ranch gets its name because the topography creates the perfect secluded hideaway for game. Deer and elk us the ranch for protection and forage. Currently the ranch has received 1 bull and 1 cow voucher and 2 rifle and 2 bow vouchers for deer. There were 2 very nice bulls taken on neighboring ranches in 2020 that were in the 330-370 class. Tremendous deer are taken in the area every year.
Recreation
Sanctuary Ranch offers owners the ability to enjoy the solitude and peaceful ranching lifestyle as well as many outdoor activities without ever leaving the ranch. There are also multitudes of activities to enjoy in the area surrounding the ranch. Visit art galleries, soak in hot springs, discover ancient ruins, gamble a little, drive scenic byways and discover a hidden oasis.
